Here are five spring decorating ideas to inspire you!
1. Use Botanical Dishes
I’ve been wanting to find a pretty set of dishes to add to my plate display. A few weeks ago I found these dishes at a great price and am so glad I got them! The botanical design is perfect for spring and summer decorating and they will be wonderful for every day year round use. The colors make me happy, too!
2. Decorate a Spring Tray
I made this little bunny tray just before Easter and think it is so sweet I’m going to keep it out all season! I could always swap out the bunny for summer, but I love bunnies all year so he may stay for a long time! This oval wood tray is so versatile.
3. Add Gingham Curtains
Cafe curtains are a simple way to update the look of a kitchen. They add privacy as well as a fresh new pattern and color palette. Because these particular cafe curtains are affordable, I plan to have several sets so I can change them on a whim! You could also use cute dish towels or fabric.
4. Bring in Potted Plants & Topiaries
I love to stop in our local garden centers in spring to see what is blooming! Do you love having fresh plants around your kitchen? I often will bring home herbs but also love potted flowers. Bring home a few favorites and add them to small pots! They are worth the investment as they usually last longer than bouquets while bringing joy to your kitchen! While I do prefer real plants whenever possible, I also have two faux topiaries that I love. This topiary is one I bought most recently. I’ve killed so many topiaries! I will likely try again someday, but faux is a good alternative for now.
5. Display Spring Art
Do you change out your art for the season? I adore this delightful print I have framed on the wall of my kitchen. The scene makes me smile every time I see it. She has many others so I’d love to get more of her prints (see more in her shop here). While many of my art pieces stay all year, it’s easy to change out prints or original pieces when they are framed inexpensively or aren’t framed at all! I often lean my seascape art on my counter because it makes a pretty backdrop and is so easy to change out when I want a different look.
Happy Spring Decorating!
