Last year’s Christmas House

With the festive season upon us, I thought I would show you five of my own recent Amazon Christmas and gift purchases!

Here are a few of the sources for handy reference (but they are all pictured below with more details PLUS additional ideas and resources, too).

Candle snuffer
Box of non-shattering clear ornaments (that I will fill with botanicals and moss)
Red berry branches (three sizes, longer stems, shorter stems, and very short stems)
Oval frame and Round frame
Snowflake garland

I’m always adding the cute and useful things I get for my home (or that are on my favorites or wishlists) to The Inspired Room Amazon storefront.

I organize ideas into categories to make it easy to shop, for example:

Gift Ideas on Amazon

Winter and Christmas Decorating on Amazon

Dog Shop on Amazon

Don’t forget you can use the search bar within my storefront to search for for what you’re looking for (i.e. type “frame” and you’ll find related items I’ve saved).

Here are five + recent items I got from Amazon!

1. Candle Snuffer

I mostly use battery operated candles (you can find my favorites on Amazon here) but occasionally I do still enjoy the flicker of real candles. But, I realized when I use real candles on my mantel it’s hard to blow them out because I’m too short. 🙂 So I found this inexpensive candle snuffer. It’ll come in handy, plus it’s just cute sitting on the mantel. It would be a clever addition to a gift of real candles!

2. Shatter proof clear fillable Christmas ornaments

With puppies and little ones in the house, I started to worry about some of our glass ornaments! I don’t want anyone to get hurt, so I found these shatterproof ornaments that I can fill with botanicals or moss (the opening is at the top and small so you’d want to use soft items you can squeeze in).

I’m looking forward to making these this weekend! They would make creative and personal gifts to give, too.

3. Berry and Evergreen branches

I found some red berry branches to mix in with my greenery this year!

I got the berries in two sizes and those branches are two different lengths, too.) Scroll to the next photo to see the lengths side by side, this is the longer stem and this is the shorter one.

Need shorter stems? I also just ordered these extra small stems with berries that i can twist on to embellish wreaths, garland and for other uses!

These are the evergreen branches. I also got some dried Eucalyptus stems, too (not pictured).

4. Round and Oval Photo Frames

Aren’t these the sweetest frames? I love the design with the bows! Fill them with family photos and they would make such precious holiday gifts for moms and grandmas. I got the oval frame and the round one.

BONUS GIFT IDEA: Speaking of photo frames for gifts, we got THIS DIGITAL FRAME for my parents last year and it’s their favorite gift of all time. Highly recommend.

I can’t wait to get photos of my grandbabies Forrest and Lila together over Christmas! I’m starting to buy frames when I see ones I like so I can keep their sweet photos around the house. You’ll find more Amazon frames I’ve gathered in this folder of my storefront.

5. Paper Snowflake Garland

I can’t wait to hang these super cute paper snowflake garlands!

They remind me of the large paper snowflakes I’ve had for years.

I really love the compact size of these — plus they are all strung into garlands so they’ll be easy to drape over a window. Finnegan is very intrigued with them too. I’m excited for his first Christmas!

BONUS GIFT IDEA

If you have dogs to buy for or people who love their dogs, be sure to take a look at my Dog Shop Category on Amazon here! We get fun activity puzzles for Finnegan and Lily so I’ve added them to that shop along with some other puppy must haves.

Happy shopping and decorating, friends!
